Our Nursery

Our nursery is managed by a full time Nursery Principal, who is supported daily by both the Nursery Directors and additional classroom support staff, all of whom are supernumerary and not included in the child to staff ratios.

Our two Baby rooms, split over two floors to provide for different age groups of babies, caters for children from 3 months to approximately 24 months depending on each child’s development. Children will then move onto our Toddler room until they reach approximately 36 months. From around this age they move to our dedicated Pre-School, and then join our Foundation class in the year in which they are leaving for school. The Foundation class is specifically focused on school readiness and extended learning. We also offer before and after school care for Reception – Year 2 children.

Each room has a dedicated Room Manager and Room Leader, who lead the nursery practitioners in their room. All of our rooms are self-contained and equipped to a very high standard.

We undertake lots of nursery trips and outings, and so whilst the children benefit from our large nursery gardens, they also experience different environments and experiences on offer outside the nursery – all trips are optional and only made with each child’s parental consent.

We believe that children flourish best when their personal, social and emotional needs are met and where there are clear and developmentally appropriate expectations for their behaviour. We aim to work towards an environment in which children can develop self-discipline and self-esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

Our nursery will work with children, parents/carers and the community to ensure the safety of children and to give them the very best start to life. We have a duty to inform the local authority of any significant concerns regarding the children in our care.

We promote equality of opportunity anti-discriminatory practice and we ensure that every child is included and not disadvantaged because of their or their parent’s ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties, sexuality, gender and ability.

We would love to show you around our nursery and are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
